But they weren’t asking for anything extra, just the opportunity to buy a home the right way. So I went to work. Every line mattered. Every call mattered. We negotiated for the repairs, the credits, the timeline, and the protections they deserved, even when it wasn’t popular on the other side of the table. I kept telling them, “Stay with me, we’re not done yet.” The best part wasn’t getting it closed. It was handing them the keys and seeing the weight lift off their shoulders. That look of relief, the hugs, the quiet “thank you” — that’s the why behind what I do. I don’t take it lightly when someone trusts me to stand in the gap and fight for them, especially in the tough transactions. This one reminded me again that it’s never just about real estate.
